Thanks from Barbara

Dear Friends and Supporters,
My heartfelt thanks to you for all of your generous support of my campaign for Congress.
We put the multitude of serious problems confronting our District on the table. It was an extraordinary journey – I met many great people in the 10th District who had hoped for change for the better because as I said, We Deserve Better!
I entered this race because I believe that we do not have to take the world as it is given to us. While the outcome is not what we had hoped for, having worked in emerging democracies around the world, I respect the decision of the voters.
As you know, I won the City Club Debate hands down with a thorough knowledge of foreign and domestic policy, business, finance, trade, tax, education, the federal legislative and budget process, and most importantly, my strong belief in Cleveland. My positions on these issues were very clear.
My regret is that I could not get my message to all of the voters in the 10th District, due to a formidably adversary in Special Interest and Hollywood money.
Nonetheless, Ohio's 10th Congressional District still needs its fair share of federal dollars, living wage jobs, protection of the benefits of our veterans and seniors, an unfaltering commitment to strengthen education, and to address the foreclosure crisis. These issues will continue to have my attention.
We had a tremendous campaign team that worked together towards a common goal. I thank each and every one of them for the generosity of their time and the gift of their talents. Barb Ragon, my campaign manager was a genuine gift. She brought management, organization, tenacity, drive, and good humor every day to the multitude of campaign tasks combined with leadership for all of our volunteers and supporters with a smile. She never stopped.
I ask each and every one of you to also never stop. You came on board this campaign because you wanted experienced leadership with a vision for our future. Please don’t give up. Continue to stay involved in our community. Continue to demand accountability of our elected officials. Continue, as Ghandi said, “to be the change that you want to see.”
With heartfelt gratitude,
Barbara Anne Ferris
